Chesterfield MO Veneers
Everyone wants a smile that can make the cover of a magazine, but most of us weren't born with one. Teeth that are crooked, oddly shaped, too small, or gapped can detract from that movie star smile, and over time teeth can become stained, chipped, or cracked. Fortunately, Dr. Robert Rahm offers a solution to all of these problems that's available to everyone, not just Hollywood – beautiful porcelain veneers!
How Can Veneers Improve My Smile?
Veneers are thin porcelain shells that fit over the front of your teeth. The porcelain used to craft high-quality veneers shares many of the same characteristics as your tooth enamel, giving your smile a natural-looking beauty. With porcelain veneers, our Chesterfield dental office can improve your smile dramatically in just a few short visits.
With veneers, we can fix the appearance of a single tooth, all of your front teeth, or your whole mouth. It's up to you! Veneers are a long-lasting solution that can be delivered in a short amount of time.
What Is the Veneers Process?
If you are interested in getting veneers, we will take an impression of your teeth and prepare them for the veneers. A small amount of enamel is removed to ensure the veneers fit properly and don't stick out. Dr. Rahm will help you select the color you want for your veneers and they will be custom-crafted by one of our expert laboratories to give you the fit and look that you desire.
Once the veneers are ready, you will return to your office to have them bonded to your teeth. Some final adjustments and shaping can be performed at this time to ensure your appearance is exactly how you want it. And that's all it takes! You'll leave our office with a beautiful new smile that you can proudly show off to the world.
How Do I Care for My Veneers?
With proper care and regular visits to your Chesterfield dentist, your veneers can last for several years. Treat your veneers just as you would natural teeth, with regular brushing and flossing. Avoid whitening toothpaste as it can have micro-abrasives that can scratch the surface of your veneers and leave them looking dull.
Avoid chewing on non-food items and hard foods such as ice and jawbreakers. While our veneers are made to last, they can be chipped or loosened by extreme pressure. If you ever have a problem with your veneers, make an appointment with Dr. Rahm. If a veneer becomes loosened or dislodged, we may be able to re-bond it to your tooth if the veneer is undamaged.
