Teeth Whitening

Teeth whitening kit With so many teeth whitening products available in grocery and drug stores, each promising stunning results, why should you pay more for a professional product?

There are actually a few good reasons.

Risks of Drug Store Whitening

For one thing, the promised results from these drugstore kits usually never materialize. Over time, you may wind up spending considerably more than you would for a single professional treatment! The products can also be tricky to use, you may have to use them for a long time to get results, and they can cause sensitivity and even damage to your dental enamel.

Benefits of Professional Whitening

Professional products are available in a higher concentration, they give you results quickly (the same day in the case of in-office whitening!), and they contain ingredients that reduce sensitivity. Additionally, since the customized take home trays we offer are made from impressions of your own teeth, they fit perfectly, preventing whitening product from leaking out onto sensitive soft tissues.

Plus, Dr. Rahm will oversee your entire whitening process. He can recommend the type of whitening that is most appropriate for your needs. He can also determine whether your discoloration will respond to whitening and, if not, offer effective alternatives. If you choose take-home whitening and you have any questions, our office is always a phone call or email away, and we are happy to help you out and provide any needed guidance.
